The family’s jewelry heritage began in 1884, with the establishment of a fine jewelry store in Mardin, Syria. Despite significant challenges, including a period of great loss, the family continued their jewelry legacy by relocating to Aleppo. Successive generations upheld the tradition in Damascus, expanding their expertise in renowned jewelry workshops in Lebanon. Eventually, they brought their craft to the United States, opening a jewelry store in Brooklyn in the 1970s and later moving to Los Angeles, where the business continued to grow. Now, representing the fifth generation, Mimi Tohmé-Stone has launched a high jewelry brand, dedicated to advancing this enduring legacy in the jewelry industry.
